My Spotify Canvas video does not have any audio/sound

Modified on Mon, 21 Jul at 10:12 AM

Spotify Canvas videos are designed to be seen, not heard — literally. They are Silent.

Rotor has you covered for the video-only loop you need for your Spotify Canvas. As for the audio? That's a separate upload you'll need to handle directly through your Spotify Artist page. That's where the magic of sound comes in!

To make your journey even smoother, our Canvas editor features a nifty smartphone simulation tool. This gives you a preview of how your video will appear in its final form, helping you visualise the overall experience. Just a heads-up: the audio you hear during this simulation is solely for your guidance. In the final version, the audio will be absent — just as it should be for a Spotify Canvas!

Should you find yourself submitting an 8-second video loop with sound to Spotify, don't worry—Spotify will automatically strip away the audio. They'll then prompt you to upload a separate, full length, Master audio track, which will play in harmony with your silent Canvas video.
