We are sorry to hear you have received a copyright claim on one of your Rotor Videos that was uploaded to YouTube, please rest assured it was not initiated by us.

If you read through the claim, you will likely be able to see the individual or company responsible. This is unfortunately quite common these days. More often than not... it's automated (the dispute wasn't manually initiated by a human). If anyone has opened a copyright dispute against a video you have purchased through Rotor... they don't have the right to do so (we own the rights to all our clips).

Regrettably, we are unable to intervene during these type of disputes, as these are exclusively between the original uploader (you) and the account holder who is disputing ownership of your video

However, If you contest the claim and follow the internal process of the social media channel where it was originally posted, in this case YouTube (you have your receipt from Rotor as proof of purchase and rights to use).

None of these false claims for ownership of our clips have historically ever been successful (anyone can file a claim, actually winning one is really difficult when you can't prove you have true ownership of the original clips). Content disputes are a normal part of YouTube, all you have to do is push back.
